Five schools be Awarded RAD’s ROSS AI-based Security Solution

Detroit, Michigan, Jan. 24, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc., (the “Company”) (OTCPK:AITX), a global leader in AI-driven security and productivity solutions for enterprise clients, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc. (RAD) , today announced an extension to the ‘Bailey’s Gift’ campaign, ‘Bailey’s 5’.

The campaign will see RAD offer ROSS AI-based security solutions to at least five qualified K-12 schools in the United States. The program was named in honor of the 5th anniversary of the Marshall County High School shooting in rural Kentucky, which took the lives of Bailey Holt and Preston Cope, both 15 years old, on January 23, 2018. Eighteen other students were injured during the rally. mass shooting, four while trying to escape the shooter. Bailey Holt’s mother, Secret Holt joined in the announcement. ROSS (RAD Operations System Software) is a RAD software solution that enables millions of legacy IP security cameras to communicate with the RAD ecosystem (RADSoC). ROSS enables these non-RAD cameras to use the same AI analytics capabilities as other RAD hardware solutions, including gun, person, vehicle, perimeter breach and navigation detection and more. With ROSS, RAD makes its advanced security technology accessible to a wider range of customers and strengthens its position as a leader in AI-driven security and safety solutions.

“I’m very impressed that RAD has extended ‘Bailey’s Gift’ to now include ‘Bailey’s 5’. Their technology is truly amazing, and we are blessed to be a part of the RAD mission,” Secret Holt said. “There is no good reason why schools should be hesitant or reluctant to incorporate ROSS technology into their existing security systems. I encourage all schools to apply for consideration.”

The discovery of a RAD rifle indicates the presence of sidearms and long guns. As soon as a gun is detected, the RAD-driven analysis can automatically perform various actions including the appropriate use of the local audible and visual alarm, locking and securing of electronic doors, notifications to remote monitoring or local security personnel, and law enforcement authorities – well in advance when any shots are fired.

“I see a time when this technology applies to all so-called security cameras,” said Steve Reinharz, CEO of AITX and RAD. “The existing cameras are nothing but evidence cameras, used for research. They are not security cameras, they collect evidence. Our whole mantra is about the intelligent response of independence. We aim to turn these cameras into protective devices by automating lock processes, texting, communicating with law enforcement and more. Seconds save lives.” Watch Reinharz’s video message here

The company believes there are more than 100,000 K-12 schools that could immediately benefit from this gun detection technology. RAD’s hardware and software solutions work quickly and provide an unbiased rate of early detection and prevention of potential firearm-related incidents in and around these buildings.

Doug Clemons, Chief Marketing Officer at RAD, said, “We know that countless schools can use RAD’s ROSS software solution by adding it to their existing security networks. This is our way of giving back to the community and making a real impact on school safety.”

Interested schools can apply for consideration at Conditions apply, see website for details.

Through the ‘Bailey’s Gift’ campaign, announced in July, 2022, RAD selected 11 applicants to receive ROSA units in firearms technology. Select schools are accepted, schools selected for the program are located in Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, Florida, New Mexico and California. Many schools have received and used their ROSA devices and other schools are now finalizing the deployment process. More announcements are expected in the future.
