The win marks the first time Brighton have beaten Chelsea in the league, leaving questions for Chelsea manager Potter who would have returned 52 days after leaving the club.

Leaving Brighton to succeed outgoing coach Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea last month, Potter returned to the South Coast to face his former employers and lost a record nine games unbeaten in all competitions at his new club.
