Home Nurse Inc has announced that its Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) program is now open to primary family caregivers in Atlanta.
Griffin, Georgia–(Newsfile Corp. – November 26, 2022) – Griffin-based senior care agency Home Nurse Inc is now accepting applications for the Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) Program, which offers financial support and training to provide care for family members. who care for an elderly or disabled person at home.
“Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) is a new Medicare service that offers training and financial support to primary caregivers,” said Home Nurse Inc CEO Miranda Roberson, RN. “Applicants need to meet a number of conditions, such as living in the same household as the person receiving the care,” he added.

To qualify under the new Home Nurse Inc program, successful applicants must be 18 years of age or older and must be biologically related or related by marriage – spouses and legal guardians are not eligible. An applicant’s eligibility will also depend on their employment status – those who work outside the home or operate a home business will not be eligible for support under the SFC. In addition, the care recipient must be eligible for Medicaid in Georgia and be a participant in the CCSP or SOURCE waiver program.
Finally, the SFC program also has certain specific criteria for the type of services that caregivers can provide to qualify for compensation. These include housekeeping, food preparation, dressing, personal hygiene, medication management, and other tasks of daily living.
All requirements must be met for the application to be successful. As part of the SFC program, Home Nurse Inc will provide weekly compensation and health training to primary family caregivers from its team of nurses.
