How to unlock a Boost Mobile phone

Boost Mobile allows its customers to unlock their phones, but there are some things you should know. That is, your phone must meet certain basic requirements:

• Your device is SIM unlocked.
• Your device has not been reported as lost or stolen or has not been marked as unlockable.
• You have used the device on your account for at least 12 months.
• Your account is active and in good standing (ie, you have no unpaid bills).

Note that not all devices are SIM unlocked. In addition, you cannot share SIM cards between two or more phones.

How to unlock Boost Mobile phone

If your phone is eligible, here’s what to do:

1. Call Boost Mobile customer service at 1-833-50-BOOST (833-502-6678).
2. When you contact your representative, ask to open your phone.
3. A representative will guide you through the process of unlocking your phone.
4. You can get the MSL code, the representative will tell you how to enter it on your phone. However, MSL codes are mostly for devices made before February 2015.

The activation process can take up to two days to complete and may vary between devices. You will receive a confirmation email when it completes. Be sure to leave your SIM card in your phone until then. Also, make sure it is turned on during the call and connected to the Boost Mobile network. It’s also a good idea to back up your contacts and data before unlocking your phone, just in case.
