Philadelphia shooting leaves 9 injured outside bar, multiple gunmen sought

Nine people were wounded, two seriously, when multiple gunmen fired at least 40 bullets into a crowd gathered on the sidewalk outside a Philadelphia bar Saturday night, authorities said.

The attackers fled the chaotic scene in the city’s Kensington section in a vehicle and were at large on Sunday morning.

Asked at a news conference if the gunmen posed a threat to the community, Deputy Commissioner John Stanford noted the number of injuries and shell casings littered on the street outside Jack’s Famous Bar and said, “I think it’s a public safety threat.”
