Sam Asghari is covering the news that he is controlling his wife, Britney Spears, a year after the end of his custody.
When asked if he was “controlling Britney,” he told TMZ on Friday, “No, I don’t even control what we have for dinner.”
“You know, in the past, there have been a lot of things going on, so I understand where it is [fans are] from.”
“They are just defending. If anything, they are making good fans,” added the model, 28.
Asghari said his wife, 41, is in control of his life, with several fans sharing interesting theories surrounding the “Gimme More” singer’s behavior online, sparking the #WhereIsBritney hashtag.
After the pop star deleted her Instagram earlier this month, her husband took to her account and shared a message that social media can be “stressful”.
“Sometimes it’s good to take a break,” Asghari wrote on Instagram Stories Dec. 7. “She has her voice and is a free woman. I respect her privacy and I will always protect it. Thank you to all her fans who are protective.”
After Spears reinstated her account, several TikTokers speculated that a double version of the song “Toxic” was used in new content from her and Asghari.
Fans also questioned her new posts, which were much shorter than the long ones she usually posts.
Earlier this month, Asghari defended his wife from criticism for sharing nude pictures on social media.
“He’s the only person in the world who gets bullied for posting stuff like this,” he said on Instagram at the time, acknowledging his reaction. really heard about NSFW content.
“I personally wanted him to never send this, but who am I to control someone who has been under the microscope and controlled for his whole life,” added the “Lion” actor.
Spears and Asghati tied the knot at the singer’s California home in June, eight months after her custody battle ended.
